It’s a start..

I forgot to look but I know that I need more than 5, but hey it’s a start!  I’m talking about Christmas cards, I got 5 done today.  Now typically that number would be times 3 at least, but that was BC, before Cooper!  While I’m sure he believes in his little heart of gold that he’s helping me out by encourages lots of breaks, that isn’t quite true.  But because I know his intentions are pure Winking smile I’ll not ruin it for him.

So I have this very cool poinsettia die from Sizzix and I decided it was high time I used it.  So I got out the papers from last years December Daily and went to town cutting out flowers.

I assembled them with pop dots for dimension and used some little pearly things that I thought would make a nice center.

Now instead of 5 pictures you get one, this was the safest place for them with all my furry little friends running amuck around me!  The bases are made with Bazzill colors that I only had 1 sheet of (using up scraps!) I used various Sizzix embossing folders, a couple new ones and an old one.  The patterned paper is from last years December Daily.  The Kraft cardstock edges were inked with Distress Gathered Twigs, it’s funny I never noticed before how doing that really draws you to the middle of the card!  Oh and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from a new clear set that I got from HSN recently, I really like it so I bet it ends up on a lot of cards this year!

Ok my crafty friends that’s it for today!  Holiday Workshop starts next week so I’m hoping to keep right on moving forward with my Christmas card making!

  1. Likey! I think I need to investigate that poinsettia die, I'm not to happy with the spellbinders one that I have! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Oh, I love the "homespun" look of the poinsettias. The "Merry Christmas" stamp is divine! Beautiful cards!
