WOYWW #350

Greetings from the chair in my sunroom.  Yes, I’m still limited to what I can do and it’s driving me crazy!!!  I did spend a little time in my craft disaster zone this weekend.  The husband was in his office so this was supervised visitation.

I finished getting all my thin dies into my really useful boxes.  I ended up using the picture hanging Command strips to mount the magnetic sheets to the inside of my cabinet door since these wouldn’t fit in the boxes.  Two of those boxes are thin dies, the other two are embossing folders.  I love those boxes, they really are useful!

The husband helped me put my cart together!  I’m happy with it, it fits in the spot perfectly, (I turned it to get the picture) I put my Pazzles supplies in the first two drawers and I mounted a Command Hook (I’m in love with Command products right now!) on the side of the desk to hang my extra mats on.  Now to decide what to put in the rest of the drawers.  My massive sheets of vinyl are not going to fit.

I know without a doubt I don’t want to just shove stuff in there to forget about, I’ve been down that slippery slope before!

So I tried those magazine holders for my paper and I didn’t like them, so back they went.  I am now trying to figure out what to do with my paper exactly.  I’m pretty sure the paper that is in that cardboard magazine holder in the middle is going to be cut down for layering.  It’s very flimsy stuff that I got for making paper flowers but it didn’t work great for those so layers it will be.  That will make the stack a little smaller.

I started the stamp conversion from the above drawers to these;

I realized that my Close to My Heart sets were not going to fit in these so I’m on the hunt for something similar for them.  I think too that I’m only going to take the stamps that are on the clear plastic folders and put them in these drawers.  I’ve asked the husband who is a very talented woodworker, to build me something like these bins that will hold the 8.5 x 11 sheets.

I also sorted through my Christmas stuff and got some of it into decorative Christmas boxes.  I’m thinking I will leave those tucked on the bottom of the cabinet because that is a good place for them!

Well that’s it. Boring I know.. Off to Julia’s Stamping Ground to find the really creative stuff going on!!

Happy Hopping!

  1. This reminds me of these kind of carts that were really marked down at Michaels yesterday--and now they have pink which I really like. But I am debating because I already have storage bins and boxes, and I'm afraid I will put things in there and not look at them again! Let us know how it goes. Happy Wednesday! Sandy Leigh #39

  7. I love seeing craft rooms and different storage. When we moved last year, I had mine all mapped out with Ikea units and the magazine holders they do are brilliant. Mine were the last lot of the mint colour with metal corners and reinforcements - now they're more plastic I think but definitely a great storage solution.
