Remember Adirondack Alcohol Inks?  Remember taking that glossy cardstock and making backgrounds that looked like polished stone?  Well, they’ve made a come back and they’ve got a new playmate!

Yupo

Now, Yupo paper isn’t new to the creative world, but it was new to me and to be honest I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun with alcohol inks!  This stuff gives you a totally different effect from regular glossy paper.

The sample on the top are the Yupo, the ones on the bottom are glossy cardstock. Two of the ones on glossy were made from leftovers on the craft sheet because you don’t ever want to waste good ink!.

This is why I say Yupo is a game changer,

Look at the movement you get from those inks reacting to the paper.  All I did was drag a paint brush through the wet ink and move it around with some blending solution.  The pictures don’t do the colors justice.  These two are my favorites of all of that I made, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to use them in cards!

If you haven’t tried Yupo paper yet you should!  If you have and have fallen in love with it like I did, please note that you can purchase it in pads of various sizes from craft stores and art supply stores online.
