It’d didn’t work for me.

I am always looking for ways to better organize my supplies, without spending a lot of money.  I can’t justify purchasing 120 mini blending tool handles and so I bought a bunch of the foam pads to use with my inks.

At first these pads were attached to the bottom of my inks, but doing that made it very hard to stack the inks on top of each other, so I did away with that system.

Next, I made up charts with the color of each ink, put the chart in a page protector and attached a Velcro dot to the front of the page protector.  I then purchased enough foam pads to have one for every color of Distress Ink and Distress Oxide that I have.  I had to buy a big binder and they still didn’t quite fit!

I tried this system for about a month and it just doesn’t work for me.  The binder is bulky and takes up space and is truly inconvenient to flip through to find the pad for the ink I want to use. I know some people use several smaller binders but I don’t want to give up shelf space for that!

I am now onto the one blending tool for each color family method.  I tried it out while inking the labels I made for my Oxides.  I currently don’t see a reason this won’t work, but as with everything time will tell.

I still think 120 handles is insane, my niece however is having a much harder time with her foam pads ripping when she tries to change them and says she wants a handle for each ink.  I’m not there…yet.
