Birthday Joy Fold

Decided to try my hand at something a little different today, if you know me you know that I have the worst time doing the same thing over and over.  My creations are literally one of a kind because I just can’t bring myself to ever make two of the same thing!  If I do make multiples of something, even then I’ll tweak this here or change that there and while the basic idea might be the same the cards won’t be.
So I’ve long admired all the lovely folds that you can do with a Scor-Pal.  I love mine even though I mostly use it for basic scoring and not specialty folds.  Well when I first saw this card style I thought wow that must be some kind of crazy fold.  It’s not though, it’s more illusion than it is folding, now that’s my kind of card!
The basics of this card in a nutshell, it’s a single piece folded short and then another piece folded in half.  They are layered onto each other and viola you get a quirky cool card!
I made this card for my Grandmother’s birthday on Saturday.  The paper is Miss Moxie from the Angel Company.  The stamps are from My Sentiments Exactly.  I used Copic Markers to color the image and the ribbon is just from my stash.  I followed the tutorial here: Joy Fold Card  I’m looking forward to making some of the other styles as well, this one was the square style.  I rarely make square cards but this was just too cool to pass up!
Till next time..
