A sweetheart of a friend has gotten engaged and I couldn’t be happier for her and her soon to be husband. The occasion called for a card of course and so I set about to make something a little elegant but not too terribly girly. I mean it it technically for both of them.
I was looking around Hobby Lobby and I saw that embellishment and it was perfect! A little blue, a little pearl and a little antique-ish flower. I went directly over to the paper isle and grabbed the blue background paper, a sheet of patterned vellum that had a hint of silver to it and the creamy/antique-ish sentiment paper. I fiddled for awhile trying to come up with a layout I liked as I really wanted the embellishment to be the main attraction. I added a piece of sheer silvery blue ribbon just for accent.
On the inside front I used a script font to make Congratulations on your engagement and I wrote them a poem. I also added a white heart pearl to each corner and some blue rhinestones in a coma pattern to dress up the inside.
I really love the way it turned out!
Congratulations Erin & Nick!!!
