A Garden for Kathy…

I have a beautiful friend (inside and out) named Kathy.  She came into my life at a time that I needed someone that I could trust. I have a few friends that I believe are honest to God true friends.  I trust them, give them my love, my friendship and will do anything in the world for them.  When thing got challenging for me in the last couple of years there were two that walked away and it hurt me deeply.  I’m not mad, I don’t hold grudges it’s a waste of my time & energy. So I let go and I moved on with living life.  Losing both of them in such a short period of time was hard but then came Kathy.

Kathy and I shared one thing (that we knew of) in common our never ending, passionate love of hockey and the Washington Capitals.  Once we started to spend time together we found out we had other things in common too. Then Kathy became interested in stamping and of course I LOVE sharing that with her!  She has become a bright shinning example of what a friend is supposed to be, how a person is supposed to treat you and she is the exact type of person I needed in my life.  I love her probably more than she knows and I am so incredibly thankful for her everyday, she is such a blessing!

Well, you all saw the Faerie garden I made for my Mom and Kathy knew about it, she even saw it in progress and she loved it.  She said to me one day that she knew my Mom would love it.  Kathy told me that no one had ever made anything like that for her and at that moment I knew I had to make her one too!  So back to the top secret work I went and here’s what I came up with!

I gave it to her this weekend as an early Mother’s Day gift (she is after all someone’s Mom) and I think she was pretty shocked and happy.  When she told me it was going to make her cry I told her no tears it’s supposed to make you happy!  I hope that she enjoys it for many years to come.  I hope that every time she looks at it, she remembers how incredibly special she is to me, how thankful I am for her and how very much I love her!

  1. Hi Angie,

Aren't you a sweetie! I know what you mean about friends - and sometimes it just comes time to break away. It's tough to do, I know.

I'm sure Kathy was blown away by your gift - it's so very cute!

Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello! Have a great day!
