Holiday Card Workshop Day 2

We survived Sandy, we also (knocking on every wooden surface possible) didn’t lose power!   (Not that it isn’t possible that we still might because one never knows, ya know!)  My neck is a little better (in case you wondered) at least I’m not being forced to stare at my feet!

Oh alright onto the real reason you’re here the card…

HCW2 001

The technique is very similar to one last year, Day 3, with using a floating image in this case a heart and with using something typically used for a background this year it’s a stamp. I like the cut out part and the floating do-dad part but the rest, is sort of meh to me.

I used an ancient My Sentiments Exactly background stamp, HO, HO, HO is from My Favorite Things, a Spellbinders die, a Sizzix Sizzlit heart, Bazzill cardstock, kraft paper from Hobby Lobby and white detailed embossing powder and a red bow.

There was more on mass production today, but you know the drill on that.  I did figure out why I don’t like it.  It’s because every card that I make is made with love with a specific person in mind.  If I’m just making a bunch all the same to send to people, well I might as well just send out boxed cards!

Ok now it’s time for something warm and to relax a bit, as it was a long night last night!
