Christmas cards from scraps….

I seem to somehow end up with stuff that I meant to use and just didn’t. Sometimes it’s because I changed design ideas in the middle of what I was working on.  Sometimes, it’s because I get part way through the project and realize that ‘it’s just not going to work’ and so I put the item into a box to be used later.  I have quite a stash of this stuff and so the cards I’m sharing today are made with those!

Both of the above feature background layers that are made from a glitter paper I embossed and didn’t use.  The snowflakes are chipboard pieces that I got and once decorated wasn’t 100% keen on. The first one was decorated with stickles, the second was Distress stains.

The picture just doesn’t show the above card well, but all those little dots are various colors of stickles.  I made this and left it to dry and just never got around to using it.  Since in the right light it sparkles and twinkles, Merry & Bright seemed to work.

Ah, the random embossing again.  I guess these could fall under clean and simple also.  The lace tree has one pearl accent and pearl liquid (don’t know the name) on some of the circles on the tree, nothing fancy there.  The bottom one I used the pearl stuff again and some ice stickles to add a little pop to a few of the ‘snowflake blobs’ and added a sentiment.  Again, nothing over the top fancy, but I do feel a sense of accomplishment because I’m using up scraps.

  1. My favorite is the embossed Christmas tree with the one pearl. Clean and elegant! So you have inspired me to start thinking about Christmas cards...

Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello! Have a great day!
