For the Newly Weds

Someone near and dear to me recently got married and so I set out on an endeavor to make a very special wedding card.  It probably ranks up there as one of the fanciest cards I’ve made.  I typically don’t get all that fussy with cards, but this one was for two very special people and I felt like they deserved a little fuss!

There are two layers under the cake that I cut with my Inspiration as I wanted a really decorative edge and didn’t have a punch that would do what I wanted.  The scallops were cut out of vellum the paper for the actual cake was a shimmery paper that I embossed with a Swiss dots folder.  I used pearls to decorate and a white printed ribbon to separate the cake layers.

On the inside I included a copy of The Art of Marriage and some personal words that I typed up in a nice font and printed out on vellum.  I think all in all it turned out kinda nice.

Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello! Have a great day!
