So today I had to take a break from the Christmas cards..
As a card maker I end up with scraps, loads of them. I’ve gotten SO much better about tossing small pieces instead of saving every single one. I still however end up with lots of them, so I’ve been looking for ways to use them. Many of the patterned papers are ending up on Christmas cards, but the solid papers I have four times as many of those. So today I decided to make gift tags from them!
With a fire going (on the computer screen) and Christmas music playing I used metal dies to cut an array of shapes from the solid papers and then one size small in white. I assembled them and put a piece of Scor-Tape on the back and decorated the fronts. It took a while, but when I was done I had a tiny pile of scraps (which I’m contemplating cutting as borders) and…
A lot of tags for gifts! I won’t need to buy any this year for Christmas gifts..maybe not next year either lol! Why didn’t I do this sooner????
