So my Distress Micro Glaze finally arrived and I really couldn’t wait to see what it would do to those Oxide ink backgrounds I made on glossy cardstock.
Just to refresh your memory here is the before. They are pretty enough, all pastels and chalky. (Sorry for the blur, I’d claim it was a special affect but it’s what happened when I enlarged the image.)
This is the after.
I’m in love! That glaze brought those colors to life in a way I didn’t expect at all. I had even watched Tim Holtz do it and saw the intensity of the colors, but I just didn’t realize how much depth they would had. You can see every color that was used. I am looking forward to doing it again with a little more planning and a little less haphazard!
Tim is right about Oxide inks, they are like nothing I’ve ever worked with before! Can’t wait for the rest of the colors to come out!
Now, what am I going to do with all these backgrounds???
