What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday? #463

Today you get two images for your viewing pleasure!  I’ll start with the easy one first.

I purchased a large portfolio to house my vinyl collection.  Dealing with the sticking the rolls to the cutting mat is such a hassle and they just don’t store well.  So now they will be stored flat, labeled and tucked away nice and near by my cutter.  As you can see Hayleigh is helping to sort and flatten as needed!

My desk is currently home to a variety of items, I’ve been working on my Creative Chemistry classes trying to finish up the ones I couldn’t do because I didn’t have something needed for the class at the time.  It is however, slightly harder now, as some of the products have been discontinued! Thus I find myself doing some DIY.  The tag on the craft sheet was my own version of the resist paper they used to make.  I saw no reason to buy a 12x12 book of it then or now lol!

So there you have it.  I must now return to the vinyl, else a large dog or two may decide they want to help and that could be a Dane disaster!  Pop on over to the Stamping Ground and see what is going on in the world of creative folks that love Julia and the tribe that follows her!

  1. Hi Angie, Hayleigh is a gorgeous helper! Sitting is something a cat can definitely help with, lol. I don't blame you not buying a huge pad of the paper- you'd think they'd make a smaller one. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

  2. Blimey Angie, two fab ideas...the vinyl thing will be so so worth the investment of time to unroll and store elsewhere. I also think that the Creative Chemistry stuff - not having an ingredient makes your stash work even harder and pushes you slightly out of the comfort zone. I seem to think I was much more creative when my stash was tiny. But don’t tell my husband! Your desk is a well organised sight for sore eyes, and sunshine too - perfect!

  3. What a lovely helper you have! I love your pen storage, they just look great all colour coded and to hand. When I used to do the 12 tags there was always something I didn't have - as Julia says I think it makes you more creative so well done you for finding your own things to substitute. 4. Aww those tubes remind me of what we were given at college to carry and keep our art work safe, now discouraged as they break the fibres in the papers. Good to see they are being made use of as I found them so handy.
Your pens make me so happy!! Thank you for sharing WOYWW.

  5. Love your helper, lol! Cats are extremely good at helping you to flatten things...maps especially, I find. You no sooner spread a map out to have a good look than there's a cat plonked itself right in the middle to 'help'!

  6. Hi Angie. Oh my - what a gloriously neat and tidy set of spaces! Bliss - just can't manage to keep it that way myself! Well done on not buying such a huge pad of paper - that's crazy when you are perhaps simply trying out a technique... sooner just have a small sheet or two with the option of buying bigger later if you take to it.
    Take care. God bless.

  9. Hi Angie, how clever of Hayleigh to know just where to sit to help flatten out the vinyl lol. Resist card is easy enough to create with images stamped and embossed in clear ink and powder so I don't blame you for not spending money on a large pad. Have a great week. Sarah #17
