What’s on Your Workdesk #467

IMG_6676

Happy mid-week to everyone!

I had plans yesterday to get into much creative mayhem, things didn’t quite go that way.  I got caught up with computer stuff trying to synchronize my laptop and desk top so that  I don’t have multiple sets of documents and pictures.  The program which was supposed to be so user friendly, ended up deleting things I didn’t want deleted and well that meant I had to get out my backup and replace the stuff and it was just a big mess!

So I was practicing lettering while I did the computer stuff.  Today I truly hope to get into that delayed mayhem!

As you can see from the picture I purchased and received two Distress ink pad holders!  One has Distress, the other has the Distress Oxides.  I’m working hard to put things close by so that I will use them more.

I spent some time organizing my craft cabinet, putting my stamps in smaller boxes, labeling the boxes and sorting through the this and the that’s.  I still have a couple of items that need to go to their new homes.

So that’s it for me today.  Head off to the Stamping Ground and find Julia and others who I’m sure are full into mayhem and making!

  1. I know what you mean by having things close by - out of sight out of mind for me! I have all my distress pads and other ink pads right beside me in small tower drawers, right at my side, so I use them a lot! you space looks very nicely organised - I'm still working at that! Have a great week, Lindart #31

  2. Hi Angie, I too suffer from out of sight, out of mind! I don't know what you were using to do the backups, but we have a program called SmartSync, which I think may be a free one, and it works perfectly, and it has to back up 3 computers, and our server. Yeah, Hubbys a bit of a tech geek, lol. He's used it for years, and is very happy with it. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz XxX #10

  4. I am surrounded by my stuff (living on your own isn't conducive to being tidy, or not here anyway!!) your computer time sounds a nightmare to me! I use technology a lot, but don't really understand a lot of it! Helen #2

  5. Hi Angie. Wow! I am so impressed by your neat and tidy, to-hand, storage! It just looks SO good. Hope it works well for you. Sounds like a computer nightmare. I have friends who attempt to synchronize their phones - and almost always end up losing stuff. So frustrating.
    Take care. God bless.

  6. When I got my new computer, I had all my items stored off site. My friend downloaded everything for me before I ever got the computer. A big help and a nightmare averted. You have a wonderful desk, a great organized cabinet, and lots of things close at hand.

    Happy WOYWW from #3.

  8. I'm rubbish at the technology side of things and tend to do what I do and that's quite enough for me, my Hubby and 3 children tend to help me get out of a pickle when needed so I am very lucky. Hope you find some peace with yours soon and sort out those sync issues. I can think of nothing better than calligraphy to take your mind off those tech probs. Thank you for sharing WOYWW you will find those ink storage units invaluable.
